The Manager – Maintenance & Engineering will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted both plant operations through effective preventive maintenance, breakdown control, engineering planning, spares inventory management, and compliance with safety and statutory norms.
The role will lead the Engineering Department across both plant facilities and ensure zero breakdown culture through structured preventive systems, risk assessment, and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all machinery and utilities
- Ensure smooth running of all plant equipment with minimal or zero breakdown
- Conduct periodic inspection of plant, machinery, utilities, building, and physical assets
- Prepare Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP) and monitor execution
- Conduct ABR (Analysis of Breakdown Report) & RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for every major failure
- Ensure timely corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence
- Lead and supervise Engineering & Maintenance teams across plant facilities
Spares & Inventory Management
- Monitor equipment spares inventory and ensure optimum stock levels
- Track RGP & NRGP materials with proper documentation control
- Ensure controlled consumption of spares and avoid misuse
- Prevent stock-outs of critical spares
- Coordinate with Purchase for timely procurement of spares
- Control maintenance inventory within budget
OPEX / CAPEX & Cost Control
- Participate in OPEX and CAPEX planning and budgeting
- Prepare ROI calculations and technical feasibility reports
- Conduct detailed quotation comparison and vendor evaluation
- Monitor maintenance expenses and ensure budget control
- Drive cost-saving engineering projects
